Mark 5:36
Mark 5:36
As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
Tragedies can blindfold our vision of the future. When bad things happen, our hope is crushed, and we can’t see how we will move forward. In the Bible, Jairus, a synagogue ruler, had his hope crushed. For many years, he had everything, and everything was going his way. However, one day, his daughter became sick. He tried everything, but nothing seemed to help. As a last resort, he sought out a rabbi named Jesus, who had healing powers. When he was speaking to the rabbi, messengers from his village came and told him, "Your daughter has died, so don't waste Jesus' time." Have you ever received such a message from someone? There is no point in sticking with him; he will never change. You will never be able to make it. It is cancer; life is over. However, Jesus didn't listen to what people said! “Ignore what they said," Jesus told Jairus, "Don’t be afraid, just believe!" That is, don't be limited by what you see. Don't just listen to what you hear. Believe that there's more to life than what you can see and hear! Can you hear Jesus’ voice today? No matter what you're facing, Jesus says, “Don't be afraid. Just trust me! I will heal. I will provide what you need. I will carry you through."
Psalms 27:13
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
Luke 1:33
And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Romans 8:29
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
