Bebe's interpretation
We are most likely to find fear when we dig deep beneath our anger, frustration, and regrets. Fear of not being able to pay bills. Fear of things not turning out as we had hoped. Fear of disappointing someone we love. And, most commonly, fear of failure. Our fear prevents us from reaching the full potential that God has given us.
Fear is something we all hate, but how can we get it out of our lives? David gives us an answer in this psalm - he sought the Lord. And a beautiful promise follows - the Lord heard Him and delivered him from all his fears.
When life gets difficult, we often think God is hiding from us or ignoring us. That is far from the truth. God has promised us countless times through His words that He is with us wherever we go. He has laid out a path for us, and it's up to us to follow it or go our own way. He has told us to "Fear not" because He will help us with His mighty power (Isaiah 41:13). We get so busy with life that we often forget about God's presence in our lives. But our God is always expecting the people He created. When we do seek Him, the Lord will answer our seeking. And He will deliver us from all our fears.
If you feel extra anxious today about what is going on in your life or your future, seek God. You can do this by reading His words, talking to Him in prayers, or thinking about everything He has done for you. The Lord hears your prayers, and He will replace your fears with perfect peace in your heart.
