2 Corinthians 9:8
2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
In Proverbs, we learn that a generous person will prosper (Proverbs 11:25). In Galatians, Paul writes the famous words: "For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." (Galatians 6:7) In these closing words to the Corinthian church, Paul again discusses about the wisdom of generosity - Being generous with our gifts and giving isn't a legal requirement for meeting the demands of the church or denomination, but simply because cheerful giving and wise generosity delight the Lord Who has saved us by His grace and has given us everything we need. Our God is all-powerful. Because He created all things, He can supply all our needs. However, don't skip the second part - The Lord gives us blessings so that we can live a life full of good works! Our lives will be full of good deeds if we generously share in the name of Jesus, as the apostle Paul encourages. When we take our eyes off of our possessions and focus less on what we lack, we begin to see that God has all we need to live purposeful lives. So don't be afraid to give generously to people in need. Whenever you need anything, God will provide it! His grace abounds toward you, and He is able to provide all you need.
Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
2 Corinthians 4:15
For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
James 4:6
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Romans 3:24
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
