Psalms 147:3
Psalms 147:3
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
In the Bible, we see the Lord healing the sick, casting out evil spirits, commanding the dead to rise, and giving us the greatest healing: being forgiven of sin and alive again in Christ! He restores us and heals us from the inside out. The Hebrew word used for “heals” here is Rapha, which isn’t just basic improvement or back to normal health, but rather a full, restored, and perfect healing. As the “Greatest Physician,” God is all-powerful and has the ability to heal us to our perfect, pure, holy state, the way God intended us to be when He created us. This is the kind of healing God promises us all. "I am the Lord who heals you," the Lord says (Exodus 15:26). From the very words of our loving God himself, it is He who heals. When your heart is broken, He will restore it. When you get hurt, His healing touch will bind up your wounds. Jesus is the healer that we all need today. In Jesus, we are reunited with God and gathered back to Him just like He gathered the exiles of Israel so long ago. In Him, we find restoration, hope, love, and a new life.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.
