Genesis 22:17
Genesis 22:17
That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
Genesis 22 tells us the famous story of God testing Abraham’s faith and blessing him for his willingness to offer God his only son, Isaac. Can you imagine how difficult it must have been for Abraham to hear God’s instruction to offer his precious son, whom he and his wife Sarah had been waiting for so long, as a burnt offering? Abraham did not hesitate in obeying God because of his strong faith that God would save his son. If God asks you to give up something precious to you, will you be willing to do so? Often, we become more attached to God's gifts than to God Himself. When we focus on our possessions and achievements, we lose focus on God. He is the Provider of everything that we have, and He gave us the best He had to give—His only Son. How can we not freely give Him back what He asks of us? Not just for the greater blessings but because we love Him. Because He first loved us. God designed us for blessing and multiplication. Every thoughtful act, wise word, and investment of time and energy that we have sown continues to bear fruit. There is no limit to God's blessings. His faithfulness to His people is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Matthew 5:11
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Psalms 34:8
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Psalms 29:11
The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.
Psalms 119:1
Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
