Bebe's interpretation
It is clear from this verse that God will one day end all evil, and those who honor Him will enjoy eternal security. In David's observation, every person's thoughts are known to Him, and He discerns the thoughts and motives of every heart. Despite good intentions, human judges are capable of making mistakes. They might be sincerely mistaken, leading to an unfair verdict and sentence for the defendant. God, on the other hand, never makes a mistake.
In the midst of waves of godlessness that seem to be overwhelming the entire world, we, too, await God to stand and adjudicate the godless peoples of the earth in accordance with His own perfect righteousness. Like Job, David, and the prophets of old, we also know that God will one day vindicate those who walk in righteousness since He has appointed a time when He will judge the world righteously, and that judgment will be carried out by Christ.
Soon, the prayers of saints throughout the ages will be answered - the evil of the wicked will cease, and God will establish the righteous.
