Sometimes we are so caught up in our everyday hustle and bustle that we lose sight of the new and great things God is doing in our lives. We quickly forget the breakthroughs we experience and the answers we receive to our prayers. The problem is not that God doesn't do anything for us but that we are not paying attention well enough. That is why God made a recommendation: write.
In our Bible verse, God said He makes all things new. He turns your mourning into rejoicing, your tears into laughter, but you have a responsibility to "write" them down. God is well aware of your shortcomings as a human being. He understands that memory fails. He knows you do not praise and thank Him enough because you do not have a record of your heart desires, prayers, and His blessings. That is why it is difficult to pinpoint one good thing God has done for you, even though His gifts and benefits are all around you.
God is faithful. His promises are true and always come to pass. What He says, He will do. What He promises He will fulfill (Numbers 23:19). Just as the famous hymn "Count Your Blessings" says, write down your blessings and requests, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done when you begin to count them.
