Hebrews 3:3
Hebrews 3:3
For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
Regardless of how amazing the building may be, the individual who designed and constructed it is clearly more worthy of honor and glory than the building itself. In this way, if Moses is an example that should be followed, the same is even more true of Christ. Those who follow Jesus but fail to trust Him will suffer even greater consequences. While Moses may have been a faithful servant of God, as Christ was during His sojourn on earth, the similarities end there. Apart from this, Christ Jesus is far superior to Moses in every way and commands a great deal more glory and significance. Moses was only one part of God's house, while Christ was the master builder of the entire household of God. All Christians, both Jews and Gentiles alike, need to understand that, in the dispensation of grace, we are holy brethren who have a heavenly calling through faith in the Lord Jesus, who is both our Apostle and our High Priest. Through His death and burial for our sins, He has broken the power of sin and death in the lives of all who believe in Him.
Exodus 13:21
And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:.
Galatians 6:14
But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
John 17:22
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one.
Habakkuk 2:14
For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
