Ephesians 1:5
Ephesians 1:5
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
Have you stopped to ask yourself this question: why did God create the Earth? If He knew He wasn't going to inhabit it, why make something you cannot use? Love is the nature of God. It is who He is. All of His actions and intentions are motivated by love. Because love gives and shares itself, God desired to share his rulership. This love inspired Him to create spirit children (Man) to share His dominion. For them to have a place to express their shared dominion, He created the Earth. God had pre-planned all this before the worlds were formed. However, after the fall, man lost his rights and privileges as an offspring of God. All efforts to reconcile man to God proved futile until God came in human form to save man. The son of God paid the price to reconcile and restore man to his initial position. Man is now a part of God's family and can freely call God Abba. Just as the adopted son has the same rights as the biological child, we enjoy the same benefits as God's children. We have access to spiritual blessings in heavenly places. We are heirs of God, joint heirs with Christ.
