Matthew 6:14
Matthew 6:14
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Many times, we forget the negative implications of unforgiveness. Yes, when we refuse to forgive those who have erred against us, not only is our relationship with them at risk, but We also have to bear the consequences of a broken relationship with our heavenly Father. When you refuse to forgive, you must remember that Your forgiveness always depends on it. If you do not forgive others for their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also withhold forgiveness from you. We must be careful about our daily conduct. Some people want to believe they have the right to withhold goodness and mercy from others but are always deserving of it from God. Don’t think because God is love, He will break His own principles. A principle such as this one will hold even with the fullness of mercy God reserves. When you give mercy, God gives you mercy too. You must learn to forgive others, not just for them but for yourself. You must learn to be minimal with offense-keeping and let the love of God take absolute control of your being. Remember you have been recreated a love-being, that you may love just as your Heavenly Father.
Matthew 6:15
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Psalms 57:1
Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me, for my soul trusteth in thee.
Isaiah 1:18
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Luke 17:4
And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
