2 Corinthians 5:18
2 Corinthians 5:18
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
We humans get hurt when we choose offense, especially if the offender is someone we love. The pain we feel makes it difficult to forgive and eventually leads to separation. The condition for patching things up lies in the offender's repentance and request for forgiveness. Man became separated from God as a result of sin. In his fallen state, man was incapable of repentance and forgiveness since sin had replaced the nature of God. Because of God’s love for man, He came up with the ultimate plan for man’s redemption. By paying the debt penalty for our sins through the death of Jesus, God reconciled with us and removed the barrier of separation. We are now new creatures in Christ through faith, forgiven and free to serve the Lord. It is now our duty to proclaim this good news to the world. We should rise up for the salvation of others now that we are saved. We are his ambassadors, God’s representatives entrusted with the responsibility of preaching the message of reconciliation. The good news of relief from sin through forgiveness, salvation from God’s wrath, and acceptance into God’s family by faith must be preached in word and in daily living.
James 4:4
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
Ecclesiastes 5:6
Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?
Romans 6:6
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
1 John 2:1
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
