Jude 1:2
Jude 1:2
Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.
Mercy, peace, and love are three great blessings we find recurring throughout the scriptures. When you want to quantify God’s blessings in the life of a man, the abundance of money is not the best parameter. When we say mercy, we speak of God’s grace that covers and averts what evil we should receive for what wrongs we have done. We are not perfect, and because of this, we often fail to keep God’s statutes a hundred percent of the time. However, God knew this right from the fall of man and made the provision to still have us blessed and worthy of His presence by the instrument of His mercy. Mercy is not something only unsaved people need. It would be pride for a believer to think that. Mercy is God’s gift to every person on earth. Without His mercy, we would have seen the end of the world in a grand style of unparalleled disaster a long time ago. What about peace? It is the absence of chaos, but not necessarily the absence of physical chaos. Sometimes, there are battles raging, yet in the midst of them, there is something called the peace of God. It is God’s safe place for those who trust in Him and call upon His name. The peace of God is the presence of God. Without it, there is no hope for sanity or any other blessing of relevance. And when we speak of the love of God, we speak about the first condition that grants the possibility of all of these. It is because of His love that we have His mercy and peace from Him. The love of God is unconditional, and it is the reason we have an audience with God. It is because of His love that He thought about us, saved us, and delivered us from the damnation we deserve. The best part is that all of these can be multiplied. Continually pray for mercy, peace, and love to surround your life on all sides, and you will enjoy them in abundance.
Ecclesiastes 9:17
The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.
Luke 1:78
Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,
Psalm 37:30
The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
Psalms 34:11
Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
