Romans 5:12
Romans 5:12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Paul explained earlier that salvation by faith brings us peace with God. His love for us has clearly demonstrated that we can trust and hope in Him. With this verse, Paul begins a new section in which he compares the work of Adam, the representative of sinful humanity, with the work of Christ on behalf of sinful humanity. It further clarifies the concept of human sin, Christ's sacrifice, and the salvation that we receive. The verse is a reminder of the weight of sin and the fact that we are all affected by it. However, the verse also speaks of the incredible love and grace of God, who offers us the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. It tells us that the gift of salvation is not equal to the impact of sin, but rather, it is much greater. This is a powerful illustration of the boundless love and blessings of God. In general, Romans 5:12 is a source of inspiration and encouragement for all believers. In this glorious truth, Peter informs us that mankind has been redeemed by the precious blood of one Man. The free gift of grace is available to all who believe in Him and accept it.
