1 Corinthians 6:19
1 Corinthians 6:19
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
A temple is a place of worship. When God instructed Moses to build the Old Temple, it was based on certain specifications that were not tampered with. Now, God calls us His temple. He dwelled in the old temple built with hands, but the people did not enjoy the beauty of fellowship with God. Today, God dwells in you and has given you the privilege of free access at any time. He has given you the keys to a place of power and glory. The fact that God chose to live within us shows how valuable we are to Him. Our bodies have become living, moving dwelling places for God. People no longer need to travel for miles to a marked location as they did in the old times just to meet with God. Now, wherever you go, God is moving through you. This is the will of God that through the Holy Spirit, He possesses you as His own to do His good works on earth. You are not your own. Your life belongs to God. Give Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and give God what belongs to God.
