John 1:14
John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
The Bible says that no one has ever seen the LORD who dwells in unapproachable light (1 Timothy 6:16). By this, we were without knowledge of what the sovereign, immortal God whom we worship was like. We guessed His character and pondered what form He should take. The men of old knew Him as fire, smoke, wind, and other elements that were only earthly and limited by our parochial minds. However, everything changed when the supreme divinity, Jesus, stepped foot upon the earth and lived in our neighborhood. Then we began to see wisdom, kindness, compassion, love, and sweet attributes we had formerly second-guessed God to possess. We began to receive first-hand knowledge of what God looked like. We experienced His thought process and understood better what Yahweh had been from everlasting. The glory of God is not simply the bright light that radiates in and around Him. It is the totality of Him. Since Jesus is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature (Hebrews 1:3), then His manifestation is everything God is. And we learn from the Scriptures how He went about doing good (Acts 10:38). This is the character of God. It is God’s glory as revealed through Jesus.
John 3:13
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
Luke 20:8
And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.
John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 8:23
And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
