Joshua 1:2
Joshua 1:2
Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
It is a verse that encourages perseverance and courage in the face of change and uncertainty. Although Moses, a great leader, has passed away, we should not be discouraged but rather rise up and embrace the responsibility that has been given to us, knowing that God will guide and accompany us every step of the way. Thus, we can place our trust in Him and have the courage to confront any challenge we may face. A plan for the redemption of the fallen human race was laid down by God before the foundation of the world. In His wisdom, God chose to redeem the world through one nation, and Moses was the man chosen to lead His people out of slavery for a time. After his death, however, God transferred the leadership role to Joshua, giving him the necessary instructions for Israel's next step. As He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, God's plans and purpose for the redemption of mankind will never change, but He chooses the work He gives to each of His servants individually. Every one of us is known by name to God, and He has prepared good works for each of us to accomplish for His praise and glory.
Matthew 23:11
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
Titus 2:7
In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity.
Proverbs 15:22
Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.
Matthew 20:26
Whoever desires to become great among you must be your servant.
