Bebe's interpretation
When you faithfully serve your country by whatever means, you get recognition and possibly a medal of honor. In the system of God's heaven, the same practice applies. Jesus, speaking in this place, enlightens every follower on two things. First, the prescribed way to serve Jesus is to follow Him. The second is that every faithful servant will be honored by the Father of light. There is nothing greater than this honor in all of existence.
When we serve God by following Him, He in turn honors our sacrifice and commitment to Him. Yahweh is a faithful God who rewards those who serve and obey Him from a faith-filled heart. Followership is the outward expression of service. And although some people claim to serve God without true followership of His precepts and righteous statutes, we must never be caught in this deception. We cannot say we serve God without following the steps of humility, meekness, patience, kindness, love, peace, and every divine character Jesus has taught us.
The proof of true service is that we are true followers of Jesus. This is the only path to receiving God's Medal of Honor after all is said and done. Does your followership validate your service to God?
