Bebe's interpretation
Have you ever experienced a painful loss, a prolonged illness, a ghastly accident, been robbed of your possessions, lost a job, or a business? The number of people in distress keeps rising due to certain unpleasant events around the world. Terrorism, banditry and even war have caused people to be displaced, sick, and in some cases even killed. Such experiences leave people devastated and hopeless. In such a time of grief, providing relief for their pain will go a long way to making them happy and bringing them comfort.
It is a fact that the pronouncement of the curse as a result of sin has brought suffering upon the Earth and mankind. Even Scriptures attest to it that all creation groans in pain (Romans 8:22, Genesis 3:17-19). But thanks be to God for His mercies who delivered us from the affliction suffered as a result of the curse. Not only were we pardoned and forgiven but we were redeemed from the curse, saved from eternal death, set free from the bondage of sin, and have the privilege to enjoy His grace and favor because He is immensely merciful. He also comforts us when we are afflicted, grieving or burdened, giving us relief from every form of suffering. All thanks be to our God.
