2 Samuel 10:12
2 Samuel 10:12
Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the LORD do that which seemeth him good.
Have you ever faced a challenge that seemed insurmountable? Have you battled addiction, financial difficulty, or a physical or mental illness? The word challenge is a term common to all humans irrespective of age or status. Believers are not exempt. Even though difficult moments differ for each individual, it is our response and actions that matter most. Those who act indifferently and allow fate to decide for them will probably become overwhelmed, depressed, and find life not worth living. They assume the position of victim and demand self-pity; they won’t make an attempt at solving the problem because they believe they cannot. Then there are those who take the bull by the horns and are proactive. Defeat is not an option for them. Whatever the situation, they pull together and fight back, no matter how overwhelming the situation may seem. They don’t fold their hands and resign themselves to fate. Instead, they put their abilities to work in anticipation that they will succeed. As believers, as good as it is to trust and rely on the Lord for our needs, we also should play our part. God will not play His role when we have not done our part.
Joshua 1:6
Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
Proverbs 28:1
The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
2 Kings 6:16
Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.
Joshua 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
