Hebrews 1:14
Hebrews 1:14
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
In this verse, the writer highlights that angels are ministering spirits sent by God to serve those who will inherit salvation. This verse serves as a reminder of the supernatural assistance that is available to believers and encourages them to trust in God's provision and care. It also emphasizes the importance of understanding and appreciating the spiritual realm and recognizing the power and influence of God's heavenly messengers. Angels serve God by doing His commandments and hearkening unto His Word. Hebrews 1 emphasizes the superiority of Jesus Christ over all beings, including the angelic hosts who worship Him day and night. The writer of Hebrews also highlights the role of angels as ministering spirits sent out to serve those who will inherit salvation. Ultimately, Jesus Christ reigns with a scepter of righteousness over an eternal kingdom. Our salvation is not earned but rather given by God. Through our trust in the name of the only begotten Son of the Father, we inherit a glorious future that we did not deserve. It is God who instructs the heavenly host to minister to those who will receive salvation, for we are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. One day, we will rule and reign in the magnificent Kingdom of the Lord.
