Acts 5:31
Acts 5:31
Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
It can be very easy to forget the magnificence of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Many times, we treat our moment of salvation like a one-time event where we are fully able to appreciate what Jesus did for us, but we disregard all of it afterward. The truth is that every single day, we should be pondering the amazing things that God did through His Son. He sent Him in the form of man to give His life and suffer for our sake. As Paul says in his writings, this is the very thing we base our faith on! If Christ did not die and rise again, then we should be the most pitied among men. Take some time today and think about the truth of the Gospel. Although we can sometimes discount the Gospel when we are maturing in our faith, it is the very rock and foundation on which we build our lives. Find ways in your everyday life to remind yourself of what Jesus did for you and what God the Father did through Him. Give thanks for your Savior and honor Him in all that you do in gratitude for all that He has done.
James 4:9
Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
Luke 15:10
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
Jeremiah 3:14
Return, faithless people, declares the Lord, for I am your husband. I will choose you—one from a town and two from a clan—and bring you to Zion.
Romans 6:1
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
