John 9:31
John 9:31
Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
Today, people attend church or seek God for different reasons - for some, it is a religious rite that must be observed; some seek God out of a loving relationship with Him and a desire to know Him more, and many people seek Him for what they can gain from Him. The primary medium of this process of seeking God is through the agency of prayer. We engage in prayer because we believe that God listens and gives answers to our requests. While a father is responsible for his children, he might not be concerned about other people. Everyone who believes in Jesus and accepts Him as Lord and Saviour, however, becomes God’s child. As much as we direct our prayers to God expecting results, God only respects and answers the prayers of those who fear Him. These people respect Him and worship Him in spirit and truth. They obey all His commands and surrender themselves to God. Because of the nature of their relationship with Him, God attends to them. On the other hand, people who reject God’s way of salvation through Jesus cannot enjoy the benefit of answered prayers. The prayer of a sinner is an abomination before God because God’s wrath is upon them. If you repent and call on God for forgiveness, God will hear and transform your life.
John 14:13
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John 16:24
Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
Matthew 6:9
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
James 5:13
Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
