Bebe's interpretation
As humans, we desire comfortable, if not luxurious, lives. We prefer prosperity and sound health. No one wants to live in suffering. Fortunately, God has the same mindset, and that is why He makes promises to bless us. Our lives are laden with experiences, both good and bad, and they serve their purposes in our walk on earth. Experience, they say, is the best teacher, whether it is personal or gleaned from others. However, it is observed that humans learn nothing from positive experiences, probably because we get carried away by the euphoria of the moment. We often learn nothing from success, but we learn a lot from failure, hardship, and suffering.
God himself stated in Scripture that He made both good and bad, and they were created for His pleasure. He allows certain unpleasant circumstances to run their course in our lives to draw our attention to Himself and transform us. Some of these situations can be self-inflicted, devil-orchestrated, or God-permitted; regardless of their origin, God is able to deliver us if we incline our ears and hearts to understand the lessons from the negative experiences.
