Verse

Hebrews 2:2

For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

  • Disobedience
  • Judgment
  • Faith
  • Obedience
  • Rewards
Bebe's interpretation
Our verse today reminds us of the importance of paying attention to the message of salvation that was first spoken by the Lord and then confirmed by those who heard Him. This verse encourages us to hold fast to this message lest we drift away from it. In doing so, we will avoid the consequences of neglecting such a great salvation and instead experience the fullness of God's grace and mercy.
In Christianity, the supremacy and authority of Christ are without question. He holds a position of utmost importance that is infinitely greater than even the angelic host. This is because He sits at the right hand of the Majesty on high and is worshiped by all the angels of God. As the eternal Son of God and the omnipotent Creator of the universe, Christ Jesus is also the Judge of the whole world and the Firstborn from the dead. His throne is established in heaven forever and ever, making Him the ultimate authority in all things.
As Christians, we must take heed of the serious warnings given to us by the writer of Hebrews. It is of utmost importance that we consider Christ, listen to His words, and give heed to all that He has said. Let us remain steadfast in our commitment to Christ and His teachings, always keeping our hearts and minds focused on Him.
