Isaiah 26:7
Isaiah 26:7
The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just.
In your everyday life, do you find it difficult to be upright and just? It’s difficult to live in the way that God calls us to. Being honest and fair in all situations is certainly a challenge for those of us who struggle with our sinful nature and are in a constant struggle with our flesh. Yet, it is our calling in Christ to be upright and just. How can we practically do this daily? It comes down to being as close to God as we possibly can. James tells us that when we draw near to God, He draws near to us. The problem is often that we compartmentalize our faith into Sunday mornings at church or a time in the day that we specifically spend with God. Instead, we should desire to be close to God all day, seeking His wisdom and strength to be morally upright and just toward everyone that we come across. Take some time today and pray to God, asking Him to help you be close to Him throughout your day. Ask Him to help you to remember His commands and to treat others as He has called you to.
Joel 2:12
Even now, declares the Lord, return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.
Luke 15:10
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
Joel 2:13
And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
Acts 5:31
Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
