Mark 14:6
Mark 14:6
And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.
When we do beautiful things for Jesus, we receive His shielding presence from every opposition. Every good deed we do with the exaltation of God in mind will receive a glorious commendation from the Lord (Hebrews 11:6; Galatians 6:9). Every work we do for Jesus will receive His reward of protection, blessings, and eternal life in eternity (Matthew 19:29). Your good works are ever before God, and His eyes are watching when men are castigating and trying to condemn you for every good thing you do that they don’t understand. Being misunderstood is an intrinsic part of the Christian life. The world will not always understand you, and sometimes, they may even fight you for doing what they can’t. Don’t be surprised to find people in your local church who also misjudge you for the good deeds you do. However, whatever the case may be, don’t stop doing the good works you do for Jesus. Opposition and resistance may come from the world, as well as those in the church, but you must find encouragement in knowing that you have the hand of God protecting you from the evil eyes that stare wickedly at you and work against your progress. As children of God, we should strive to do good works, not for the recognition of men but for the glory of God. Let us keep our eyes fixed on Him and continue to do His will, trusting in His protection and reward.
