One way to ensure the continued existence of one's principles, ideologies, and values is by transferring them to others. An effective way of getting this done is by teaching one's beliefs either formally or informally. We teach values instructively in a formal classroom setting or simply by modeling them. By doing so, we raise men who share the same philosophies with the hope that they will also pass them on to others. We transfer our genetic beliefs to them, doctored in a certain curriculum to the end of shaping their lives and thought patterns in a way that is similar to ours.
The end of fulfilling the Great Commission is making disciples for Christ. We are able to achieve this by teaching the principles and practices of Christian living to new converts as they were taught by Christ himself. Spiritually matured believers have the responsibility to train and instruct baby Christians and new converts. The teaching curriculum consists of Christ's teachings recorded in the gospels and instructions given by the Holy Spirit for the body of Christ. It is also important to remember that Christ's nature and character should be taught without adding our own interpretation or taking His words out of context.
As we commit to this teaching ministry under His authority, we are assured of His ever-abiding presence even in the midst of trials and persecution.
