Luke 13:24
Luke 13:24
Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Our journey of faith is not always an easy one. In fact, it can be a struggle at times. Jesus calls us to strive to enter through the narrow gate, which means we need to put in effort and work to follow Him. The narrow gate is not a popular choice because it requires us to make sacrifices and give up things that we may hold dear. It requires us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Jesus. But the reward of entering through the narrow gate is worth the struggle. It leads to eternal life and a deep relationship with God. We must be careful not to assume that just because we attend church or do good deeds, we will automatically enter through the narrow gate. It takes more than just religious activities to follow Jesus. We must have a personal relationship with Him and actively strive to live a life that is pleasing to Him. Let us not be like the many who seek to enter but will not be able to. Instead, let us strive to enter through the narrow gate and follow Jesus with all of our hearts. We cannot fully experience the joy of a life lived for Him unless we put in the effort and work needed to grow in our faith.
John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Psalms 27:1
(A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
John 5:24
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Philippians 3:20
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
