This short greeting from Paul the Apostle is a reminder of the source of our blessings as believers in Christ. It is through the grace of God and the peace of Jesus Christ that we have access to salvation and the abundant life that God promises.
Grace is the undeserved favor of God, and it is only through His grace that we have been saved. We were once lost in our sins and separated from God, but because of His love for us, He sent His only Son to die for us and reconcile us to Him. We cannot earn this grace, but we can receive it freely by placing our faith in Jesus.
Peace, on the other hand, is the result of our reconciliation with God. We no longer have to live in fear or anxiety because we know that we have been forgiven and have a place in God's family. The peace of Christ is not just a feeling but a state of being that comes from knowing that we are loved and accepted by God.
