Colossians 3:15
Colossians 3:15
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Have you been in a situation that robbed you of peace? Have you had to make a wrong decision and become restless and uneasy after making that choice? Peace is essential for humans' survival and coexistence. This peace promotes unity and helps us tolerate one another despite individual differences. Its absence gives room for conflicts, violence, and disagreements to thrive. Nothing substantial and purposeful can be achieved in an environment that lacks peace. It fosters love and harmony and ensures unity of purpose in a group regardless of differing beliefs. Peace as a fruit of the spirit should dwell in the life of every believer who is passionate about the kingdom work of salvation. It should guide our decision-making, especially when conflicting issues can breed enmity and hatred. Through the sacrifice of Jesus, we have peace with God, which guarantees us access to Him. Our relationship with God was cemented after our sin, which led to God's wrath, was paid in full with His blood. God expects us to have good relationships with fellow brethren, and this can be so if we allow the peace of God to work through us. Offences are inevitable, but cultivating a peace-loving attitude will ensure togetherness and encourage unity of purpose.
John 13:35
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Romans 15:7
Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
Acts 4:32
And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul.
1 Corinthians 1:10
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing.
