Ephesians 2:10
Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
This important statement offers tremendous insight into what God desires after salvation. Isn't it amazing to know that God not only created us but also worked hard on us? Workmanship refers to more than the product of creation; it also highlights the degree of skill and knowledge with which the product is made. God created our body from the dust of the ground, which is nothing fancy. With his "breath of life," however, God brings our lifeless bodies alive! (Genesis 2:7) We are not only created by good works; we are also created for good works. God created us for a purpose - to do the good works that He has planned for us. We were given a purpose long before we were created. Have you ever wondered about your purpose in life? God has assured us that He has a plan for us, and it is good! When you feel unworthy or insecure, remember that God created you with care, with love, with purpose. He loves us so much that He paid the price of our sins with the blood of His precious son, Jesus Christ, so that we can be free and have eternal life. God doesn't want us to check the boxes of a good Christian. He wants us to walk with Him in everything we do. Whatever we do, do it unto Him and for His glory!
Proverbs 31:20
She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
Titus 2:11
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.
Titus 3:14
And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.
Acts 1:3
To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.
