Romans 8:28
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
This verse tells us the promise that God works for our good "in all things" is reassuring. It means that no matter what circumstances we go through, there are only two conditions for God to be working all things together for our good. Their first condition is to love God, and the second condition is to be called by God's purpose. As Christians, we may face challenges and even dangers, and we may be forced to suffer tragedies, disappointments, persecutions, and even death. We are always likely to experience tribulations when living in this fallen, groaning world, according to the Lord Jesus Himself. The Apostle Paul further informs us that all those who live godly WILL be persecuted by the world. Nevertheless, God's unfailing assurance is that the blood of Christ has overcome sin. Regardless of the challenges we encounter in life—including dangers and tragedies—it is important to remember that those challenges and tragedies all work for the glory of God and for the eternal good of ALL, for those who love God and for those who are called according to His purpose.
Psalms 55:22
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Romans 8:18
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
1 Peter 4:12
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.
1 Peter 5:10
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
