John 3:16
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
This verse tells us that the great truth behind God's promise of salvation is that God loves the world so much. Jesus was sent to Earth as an expression of the indescribable love of God for us. Although we sinned against our Creator God, causing an unbridgeable gap between man and God, He still gave His only Begotten Son out of love for the fallen humanity who were created in His image. The Father, who delights in goodness, grace, mercy, and love, sent His only son to live a life of perfectness and to die a sacrificial death so that all those who believe in Him will not be condemned but live eternally with Him. As God's eternal Son, He chose to let go of His glory in order to enter the fallen humanity, coming to Earth to die on Calvary for your sins as well as mine. The most precious thing in the universe is knowing the reality of His love - by faith. No matter where you are in the universe or when you travel back in time, you will find the indescribable love of God for us.
John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
1 Peter 1:10
Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
2 Timothy 1:7
