John 1:1
John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The first verse of John establishes several important facts. Contrary to the belief that the universe has an eternal origin, it shows that the universe had a beginning. In addition, it states that God has existed at least since the beginning. In this verse, Jesus is referred to as ""The Word,"" the first of John's seven names for Him. In fact, He created all things, both in heaven and on earth, things seen and unseen, authorities, lords, rulers, and powers. In the beginning, everything was made by Him, and everything was made for Him. In the power of the Spirit, He was sent by the Father to attain salvation for mankind. In His human flesh, God the Son became the Son of Man. It is because of this that He is the one with the authority to judge the living and the dead. The exact nature of what was before the beginning is a total mystery except for the fact that God was there in three Persons. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit work together with each other as members of this eternal, uncreated Tri-Unity. His stunning attributes are eternally enduring, and His name is Holy.
Luke 8:11
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
Proverbs 30:5
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Isaiah 40:8
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
1 Peter 1:25
But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
