Galatians 5:13
Galatians 5:13
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Grace governs us rather than the Law. Galatian Christians chose to go back to the old legalistic ways because they were unaware of the freedom found in Christ. We, on the other hand, are no longer subject to the curse of the Law. Instead, we are under the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, who has freed us from the law of sin and death through our faith in Him. The penalty for all sin was paid by the death of Christ, which included condemned sin in the flesh. It is a gift to all of us. There is nothing we need to do to earn it. We must simply believe that Christ took care of everything for us and paid the price for our sins in full. As a result of Christ's sacrifice on our behalf, we are fulfilling God's holy Law. Because of this sacrifice, we were born of the Holy Spirit of God and do not walk in accordance with the flesh. We must not turn this wonderful freedom we have in the Lord Jesus into an opportunity to indulge in sin. Freedom to sin is not at all freedom because it enslaves us to Satan or our sinful natures. We should use our God-given freedom to serve others and share His everlasting love with people around us to glorify Him.
Psalms 119:175
Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.
Galatians 4:7
Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
John 8:36
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
1 Corinthians 7:23
You were bought with a price; do not become slaves of men.
