John 1:3
John 1:3
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
This verse establishes the role of God as Creator. The universe was not created by mindless matter but rather by an intelligent Creator. It implies a distinction between things that come into existence and the One who has always existed. In other words, there is one thing that did not come into existence: God. Here, we see that the eternal God, who existed before creation began, demonstrated His almighty power through the incarnate Word. As the perfect Son of Man, Jesus Christ, our Lord, was clothed in flesh at an appointed time in order to save fallen humanity from eternal punishment for sin. Humanity was restored to a proper relationship with God through His salvation. All things were created by Christ Jesus, the almighty Creator. However, our limited mortal minds are unable to comprehend many of the marvelous mysteries of godliness. Therefore, He revealed what we need to know through His eternal Word. He was also made flesh and dwelt among us so that by grace through faith, we could be made righteous by simply believing in Him and residing with Him for all eternity.
Isaiah 42:5
Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth.
Genesis 5:1
This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;
Isaiah 40:26
Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.
Hebrews 3:4
For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
