Hebrews 11:1
Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith is defined directly in this often-quoted verse. The essence of Christian faith is trust, relying on God for the future, and obeying God even when we don't understand all the details. Ultimately, that means trusting God to come through on His promises. It is through the eye of faith that we are able to see beyond our present reality and place our focus firmly on divine revelation received from almighty God through the Word-made-flesh. We believe that Scripture contains God's Word of truth, which was written for the purpose of teaching, encouraging, and uplifting us. Having faith enables us to treat those things that are unseen as real, even when circumstances of life seem to contradict God's Word. Through holy men of God, God has revealed all that is just, good, and true. Scripture serves as a reliable foundation for building a Christian life. Here, faith has nothing in common with so many superficial explanations, which are based on sight, experience, opinion, fancies, dreams, or imaginations. May our faith and hope in Christ be built on the truth, the Word of God, and grounded on firm trust.

2 Timothy 1:12
For I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
1 John 5:13
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life.
Isaiah 32:17
And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
