Bebe's interpretation
Continuing his wise advice in Psalms (37:1–2), David advises his audience to place their trust in God and lead a righteous life. The concepts of trusting God and obediently following Him are inseparable. Dwelling on the land echoes the call of the New Testament to abide in Jesus Christ (John 15). We find delight and commitment when we dwell in God's land and feed on His faithfulness in this verse.
The Lord knows that if we acknowledge Him and trust Him in all our ups and downs, we will be directed and guided in our goings out and comings in a way that benefits us and those around us. We can rest in the love of the Lord through faith in the Lord and submission to the Spirit. This allows us to feast on the Word through faith with thanksgiving, to be nourished by His great salvation, and to be fed by the gospel of His grace.
The moments of our lives are in the hands of God, and we are called on to put all our trust in Him, for this is honorable to Him and good for us. In His strength and power, we are to accomplish the good things that He has planned for us, knowing that God is faithful and that His faithfulness is renewed every morning. Through all the valleys of life, we will be fed by Him as our Shepherd. His faithfulness is great.
