Romans 8:37
Romans 8:37
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Being more than conquerors means facing life's challenges, knowing that we are not fighting them alone. Our powerful Father defends us. Believing that nothing will ever happen to us that is not sanctioned by our loving Father for our good gives us the courage to face even the most difficult trials. The Old Testament contains numerous examples of God giving His children, Israel, incredible victories. Israel's opponents were unbeatable from a human's perspective. God, however, told them not to be afraid, promising to fight their battles on their behalf. Our battles may not be physical ones anymore, but God's promises are still applicable. God's promise is more than you being victorious over sin and Satan. He has also given us the strength to overcome challenges and trials in this world. We are conquerors, not in our own strength, but in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. We are "more" because our faith and joy can grow in the midst of struggles and persecutions. We can rejoice in the fact that we are saved through Christ Jesus, our Lord, and that He provides us with an overwhelming victory in all circumstances!
Proverbs 21:31
The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.
Joshua 8:1
And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up to Ai.
Psalms 60:12
With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes.
Hebrews 11:7
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
