Mark 11:24
Mark 11:24
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
When Christians assert that God hears and answers every sincere prayer, we don't mean that He always does it in the same way and for the same reason. God does not have to grant us our wishes simply because we believe that He will. He answers our prayers because of His unconditional love for us. Even though what God offers does not appear to be what we want at the time, He always has our best interests in mind and provides what is truly best for us. It's crucial for us to understand that before acting in faith like Jesus did, Jesus had to pray for the guidance of God. We must also do it if He had to. We can't just start ordering mountains to be moved without any preparation and expect to see results. Without praying and seeking God's guidance, we cannot simply blame the issues that have been hurting us and expect God to miraculously remove them from our lives. We must make requests of faith in conformity with the Father's plan for our lives. The more we draw near to God in prayer, the more we will understand God's desire and have confidence in our prayers, not by our own efforts but through God's grace living in us.
Psalms 54:7
For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
Psalms 6:9
The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Pray without ceasing.
Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
