Bebe's interpretation
There are many passages in the Bible that demonstrate that God's guidance can come to us in the present. Even when we do not believe we can do it, God is there to guide us through it. A good example of this kind of guidance is seen in Gideon's life.
When God calls Gideon to be Israel's deliverer, he doesn’t believe he has the strength he needs to overcome the opposition. He asks for a sign from the angel, and God gives it to him. He wants a sign with the fleece, and God gives it to him. He asks for another sign with the fleece, and God again gives it to him. God doesn’t get angry. God doesn’t give up. God doesn’t find another person to replace Gideon. God meets Gideon where he is. God shows him what he needs to see and leads him to a victory over the Midianites with only 300 soldiers. Not only does God show Gideon what he needs to see in order to trust God, but God also builds Gideon's faith by bringing him a victory with a ridiculously small army.
So often, we might think that we are not good enough, not strong enough, not faithful enough, not smart enough. The good news is that God is. God is all of those things and more. God always has what it takes, and no matter what we think of ourselves, God sees who we truly are: children of God. We might feel like Gideon some days, not sure of our abilities and God's providence. But know that God can, and He will help you. With God, anything is possible!
