Psalms 27:11
Psalms 27:11
Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
David prays to the Lord for guidance in this verse. It is likely that David would have suffered destruction if he had relied solely on his own skill while his enemies were waiting to ambush him. However, he trusted the Lord to guide him along the correct path. It is important for Christians to follow David's example and acknowledge God as our guide throughout life, as we live in a hostile world to God and His followers. It is unfortunate that there are many people today who are waiting to trip or trap those who place their trust in the Lord. Truth is often twisted. Various cruel traps are erected in order to cause harm to others. However, those who attempt to ensnare will become entangled in their own evil schemes. Contrary to this, a person who fully grasps Christ will not stumble. Instead, he or she will be guided along a straight path, avoiding all traps and snares set by the devil. The Lord blesses those who have teachable spirits and a humble heart, confessing their shortcomings to Him. His joy is in the one who seeks first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, with a gentle heart and a gentle nature.
Isaiah 30:21
And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
Proverbs 3:6
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Psalms 25:9
The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
Psalms 37:23
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
