Jeremiah 29:13
Jeremiah 29:13
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Even though this verse refers to the Babylonian captivity of Israel and their eventual restoration and redemption, it contains a timeless principle and promise that cannot be forgotten. As it is stated, the Lord is always near to those who seek Him, and those who seek the Lord in spirit and in truth will surely find Him. Jesus Christ is already known to Christians as our Savior, for He died to bridge the unbridgeable gap between a holy God and an imperfect race. Yet, as with Israel, we are promised greater knowledge and a closer relationship with the Lord if we plow into the depths of His Word. His truth is within our grasp, and we will stare into His face with steadiness. This is the face of the Lord Jesus Christ. As with Israel, we are promised that when we seek Him with all our hearts, He will be found by us. In that light, let us freely abandon the “good” in order to seek out the very best with wholeness of heart, fervor of spirit, sincerity of soul, and diligence of mind. It is our belief that all who seek the Lord will find Him to be a source of rest for their souls, healing for the heart, hope for the future, and eternal life.
Isaiah 55:6
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Psalms 34:4
I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Amos 5:6
Seek the LORD, and ye shall live.
Psalms 63:1
O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land.
