1 Chronicles 29:11
1 Chronicles 29:11
Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.
The greatness, power, glory, victory, and majesty of the Lord are attributes that invite worship and adoration. This verse calls us to recognize and celebrate the vastness of God’s nature. His greatness is beyond measure, His power infinite, and His glory transcendent. Worship is the response to this realization, where we humbly acknowledge that all honor and praise belong to God alone. The power of God is not only seen in His creation but in His victory over sin and death through Christ. His majesty is the foundation of our faith, as we recognize that He is the King of the universe, worthy of all glory. This verse invites us to reflect on God's ultimate authority and victory, which are manifest in His perfect rule and His triumphant work in the world. Worship becomes an act of submission, where we bow before the greatness of God and give Him the glory that He alone deserves.
Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
2 Corinthians 12:9
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Psalms 89:8
O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee?
Psalms 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
