1 Corinthians 10:12
1 Corinthians 10:12
So if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall.
Confidence in our faith is important, but this verse reminds us to pair it with humility and vigilance. When we feel strong and secure, we may become susceptible to pride, forgetting that our strength ultimately comes from God. Thinking we are above temptation can make us vulnerable, as we may overlook our need for His guidance and support. This caution is an invitation to maintain a humble heart, one that acknowledges our dependence on God and remains alert to potential pitfalls. Standing firm in faith is about staying connected to God’s wisdom, allowing His Spirit to guide our steps. It calls for self-awareness and an openness to God’s correction, helping us avoid complacency. By staying vigilant, we guard our hearts, recognizing that strength in faith comes from a place of humility and reliance on God. Embracing this wisdom fosters a spirit of endurance, allowing us to walk confidently yet cautiously, always aware of our need for His presence and protection.

Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways.
Ephesians 6:11

James 1:13
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.
