1 Corinthians 15:14
1 Corinthians 15:14
And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
Paul, writing to the Corinthians, states, “And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.” These words emphasize the centrality of the resurrection in the Christian faith. Without the resurrection, there is no Christianity. The resurrection validates everything Jesus taught and did, proving that He is who He said He is. If Christ had not risen, then there would be no hope for the believer, and our faith would be without foundation. However, the resurrection is the very cornerstone of the Christian gospel. It gives power to the preaching of the apostles, and it assures us that our faith is not in vain. The resurrection confirms the truth of Christ’s words and actions. It is the ultimate guarantee that God’s promises are true and that the believer can look forward to eternal life.
Matthew 28:5
The angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
Philippians 3:10
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.
Romans 4:25
He was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
1 Corinthians 15:3
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.
