1 John 2:15
1 John 2:15
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
The world often pulls us in with its promises of happiness through materialism, pleasure, and success. However, Scripture reminds us that if we love the world, the love of the Father is not in us. Our hearts are made for something greater—something eternal. The things of this world are passing away, but the love of the Father endures forever. By choosing to set our hearts on God and His kingdom, we align ourselves with His purposes and discover true fulfillment. Loving the world can lead to distraction, disappointment, and destruction, but loving God leads to life, peace, and eternal joy. This passage calls us to evaluate where our hearts are truly invested. Are we seeking the fleeting pleasures of this world, or are we pursuing the eternal treasures that come from knowing and loving God?

Daniel 1:8
But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king’s food, or with the wine that he drank.
