1 John 4:8
1 John 4:8
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
God’s very nature is love, and anyone who fails to love others has not truly come to know Him. This verse emphasizes that love is not just an attribute of God but the essence of His being. To know God is to know love, and to live in relationship with Him means to live in love with others. Love transcends all other actions and virtues; it is the foundation of faith, relationships, and truth. As we come to understand God’s love more deeply, we are equipped to extend that love to others. This means that our relationships, whether with family, friends, or even strangers, must reflect the love that God has shown us.
2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
1 John 4:16
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
1 John 4:21
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
Luke 6:35
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
