1 Peter 4:13
1 Peter 4:13
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
Rejoicing in sharing Christ’s sufferings is a call to embrace trials with a spirit of joy, knowing that they lead to a revelation of His glory. This perspective shifts our focus from the pain of suffering to the joy of being united with Christ in His mission. By partaking in His sufferings, we experience a profound connection with Him, which brings a unique form of joy that surpasses worldly understanding. This joy is rooted in the hope of Christ’s return, when His glory will be fully revealed, bringing ultimate victory and celebration. Embracing this call to rejoice in trials transforms how we endure life’s hardships, as we see them as opportunities to grow closer to Christ. This joy sustains us, giving us the strength to persevere, confident that our suffering is not in vain but is part of a greater purpose that leads to eternal joy.
2 Corinthians 1:5
For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
Psalm 34:19

1 Peter 4:1

Philippians 1:29
For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
