1 Peter 5:8
1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
Vigilance is essential in the fight against temptation. The devil is always seeking to devour and destroy, and we must be alert to his tactics. Like a roaring lion, he prowls around looking for opportunities to lead believers astray. This verse calls us to be sober and vigilant, recognizing that temptation often comes when we are least prepared. The enemy seeks to exploit our weaknesses, and we must stay alert, relying on God’s strength to resist. By staying vigilant in prayer and the Word, we can protect ourselves from the devil’s schemes. God’s protection is available to those who are watchful and rely on His power to resist temptation. Temptation is inevitable, but with vigilance and reliance on God, we can overcome.
1 Corinthians 10:21

2 Peter 2:9
The LORD knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations.
James 1:14
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed.
2 Corinthians 1:11
Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
